Communication can make or break the relationships we have we our leaders, our colleagues, our teams, and our customers. That’s why it’s so important for you to understand your own communication personality type, and the types of others. Once you know that, you can adapt your communication when you need to, and you can let others know what you need from them!

We’ve built this quiz based on widely accepted ideas of how people learn, energise, and think, and our own observations, having worked in internal, change and strategic comms for more than 20 years.
The results you get are indicative of preferences only … they’re not a definitive personality type! But they’re designed to give you some insights into how you might prefer to communicate, and how you could communicate more effectively with others.
When you take the quiz…
Take the quiz with a work context in mind. We often have different ways of behaving at home.
Go with your first instinct. When you look at some of the responses, you might think ‘oh, I could be both of those’. But it’s likely your gut feel is that you’re more one than the other, and that you’ve learned another behaviour to meet others’ needs at work. While you now do that as habit, it’s actually not your comfortable place to play.
